Minimally invasive microendoscope for deep brain calcium imaging.
"LumiScope" enables in vivo observation and brightness measurement of neuronal activity in deep brain regions and changes at the single-cell level in vivo, which could not be observed with optical microscopes. With a diameter of 350μm, the ultra-fine optical lens and an array of 10,000 imaging fibers achieve a spatial resolution of 2μm. This allows for experiments using various fluorescent proteins and fluorescent calcium indicators, as well as the control of specific neuronal activity through light stimulation of optogenetic proteins such as ChR2 and NpHR. 【Features】 ■ Low-invasive calcium imaging in deep brain regions ■ Measurement in a free-moving environment ■ Compatible with various fluorescent proteins and probes ■ Label-free neuronal activity imaging through endogenous fluorescence measurement ■ Measurement of blood flow in capillaries, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Our company was established in December 1977 by Masaharu Kinkai (currently the representative director), who left the Japanese general agency for the West German company Ernst Leitz, Schmidt Co., Ltd., and set up in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. In 1983, with the establishment of the Okazaki National Research Institute (now the National Institutes of Natural Sciences), we relocated to Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, where we remain to this day. We serve as the Japanese agents for companies such as Sutter, CytoSMART Technology, and Logos Biosystems, introducing high-quality scientific instruments from around the world to Japanese researchers day and night.
