At JR East, we have been developing our fabric heaters as a measure against icicles on the walking surface and sides of station platforms. The development has been completed, and since the first year of Reiwa, we have been working on providing it to the private sector. Installation has already begun at entrances and exits of commercial facilities. Compared to traditional methods that embed electric heating wires, this method reduces construction costs and running costs.
