Completed sand castings in just 19 days! Reduced delivery time by approximately 37% and cut costs by about 48%.
We would like to introduce a case of rapid prototyping that our company undertook. We received a phone call from a customer saying, "We need to produce a prototype for an event that has been suddenly scheduled, but we only have one month..." The event is in one month. The customer believed that the usual sand casting process, which involves making a wooden mold, would not meet the deadline, and they were considering using machined parts despite the higher cost. Therefore, we proposed that if they could provide us with 3D data, we could use RP sand layering technology to meet their desired delivery time and cost. By utilizing rapid prototyping, the prototype was completed 19 days after receiving the 3D data. We successfully met the event deadline, reduced both cost and delivery time, and received positive feedback from the customer. [Challenges] ■ Need to produce one prototype ■ Event is in one month ■ Cannot meet the deadline with normal sand casting *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
