At IHI Soma Factory, it was necessary to keep six air conditioning units running at all times to maintain the temperature in the chemical storage facility, which cannot be too hot in summer or too cold in winter. Therefore, it was introduced as an emergency power source during power outages and regular maintenance. During a power outage, the automatic start device initiates the generator within 40 seconds and automatically stops after power is restored. Additionally, during regular maintenance, by combining the automatic start device with a regular maintenance timer, it is also possible to operate and stop the generator automatically based on a set regular cycle.
