I will explain the test results regarding battery fires caused by a fire.
This document contains combustion test data for various Li-ion cells, assuming fire-related secondary ignition. A large Li-ion battery (single cell) was directly exposed to the flame of a gas burner, and the combustion process was recorded on video. Additionally, to simulate firefighting efforts, water was sprayed at the end of combustion to observe the results. We hope that those involved with Li-ion batteries will review these results and find them useful for battery development and firefighting methods.
