It was developed primarily for controlling high-temperature and high-pressure steam, where there are concerns about cage deformation due to frequent thermal cycles and rapid temperature changes. The basic structure adopts a suspended cage design. By using a suspended cage structure, the seat ring is fixed directly to the body in a screw-in type.
