**What is Soxhlet Extraction?** It consists of three components: a flask, a Soxhlet extractor, and a cooling tube. The solvent in the flask evaporates due to heating, is cooled in the upper cooling tube, and drips onto the sample in the Soxhlet extractor. The solvent containing the extract (the extract solution) returns to the flask.
