Cost reduction examples in transportation, packaging, and logistics: High durability through the use of cardboard for shipping boxes.
Many achievements in the Tohoku region! All shipping boxes made of cardboard! Here is an introduction to examples of high durability and cost reduction proposals.
Here is an example of proposing a complete cardboard solution as the material for heavy item shipping boxes. Since it involves cardboard, there were customer concerns about "Is the durability okay?" Therefore, we conducted drop tests to guarantee and provide sufficient durability. By making design change proposals to use cardboard materials in this way, we were able to offer customers the benefits of reducing material costs while maintaining durability. Additionally, we have considered the workability in the process of wrapping the casing, allowing us to propose improvements in productivity. 【Case Overview】 ■ By application: Cushioning/Protective shipping boxes/Cart ■ By industry: Electronics/Precision equipment/Semiconductors ■ By material function: Material cost reduction/High durability ■ Classification list by packaging item name: Semiconductors/Electronic components ■ By packaging material: Cardboard ■ By purpose: To wrap/protect products *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
