By incorporating the features of molding and cutting processes, it is possible to manufacture high-quality products at the right price in a short period of time!
At Taiyo Seiko, we are currently proposing the coexistence of molded products and machined products. In the past, there have been many cases of switching from molded products to machined products and vice versa. However, rather than competing with molded and machined products, we believe that by properly separating the roles of molding and machining within the same product, we can deliver high-value-added products in terms of both cost and quality. Considering the characteristics of molding and machining, we can achieve "coexistence in different phases" where prototyping is done through machining and mass production through molding. Additionally, by performing secondary machining on molded products, we can achieve "coexistence in the same phase," enabling the production of high-quality products at appropriate prices in a short period! This document provides detailed information on the above along with examples. [Contents] ■ Advantages and disadvantages of plastic molding (molds) ■ Advantages and disadvantages of machining ■ Example 1: Prototyping through machining / mass production through molding ■ Example 2: Secondary machining after molding *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
