A streamlined wiring system that quickly identifies faults in connected devices and is resistant to noise.
AS-i (Actuator Sensor Interface) is one of the fieldbuses that make up the automation network within factories, developed for the lowest layer, the sensor level network. While higher-level networks perform "high-capacity communication" and "connection and control of various devices," AS-i focuses on connecting devices limited to sensors and actuators, achieving "high-speed communication" and "easy installation and wiring" required at the sensor level network, while also providing benefits such as reduced labor and costs through wiring simplification, as well as system modification and scalability. Additionally, to facilitate connections and collaboration with various higher-level networks such as PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, and CC-Link, a number of gateways compatible with many fieldbuses are available, allowing for seamless integration into existing fieldbus systems.

basic information
Features ■ A dedicated flat cable (including power and signal lines) allows for the connection of a master and multiple slaves, enabling reduced wiring and labor costs. (If the current used is high, a black flat cable is required.) ■ The installation of the master and slaves onto the dedicated flat cable does not require stripping the cable insulation; they can be securely attached simply by clamping. ■ With a master/slave configuration, up to 62 slaves can be connected to a single master. ■ Slaves can handle analog/digital I/O communication and AC/DC motor control, with a maximum of 8 I/O devices connectable to one slave. ■ Detection of communication errors within the network and short circuits in auxiliary power is possible. ■ High EMC noise resistance. ■ Easy configuration and addition or modification of connected devices in the network. ■ No complex settings are required, making network construction straightforward. ■ Safety control devices such as emergency stop buttons are available, allowing for mixed installation within the AS-i network. ■ High-speed communication (up to 5ms). ■ "Made In Germany."

Hayashi Repic Co., Ltd. is a company that was reborn on April 1, 2018, through the merger of Hayashi Clock Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Hayashi Ei Seiki Co., Ltd., combining the strengths of both companies. Following the merger, we have divided our existing businesses into five distinct divisions to clarify their roles. We manufacture a wide range of products under our own brands (Hayashi Repic, REPIC) that possess advanced "technology" and "production capabilities," providing high-quality products and services not only to customers in Japan but also to those overseas. In addition to manufacturing our own products, our company, with over 50 years of international business know-how, acts as an official distributor for overseas manufacturers from Europe and America, importing excellent products and delivering them to our customers in Japan. We do not just engage in "import and sales"; we leverage decades of experience in various manufacturing applications to offer optimal proposals to our customers. Our staff is always committed to the principle of "sincere trust," striving to provide suggestions that will be helpful to our customers, so that they will remember "Hayashi Repic" whenever they face difficulties.
