Realizing aerial photogrammetry for creating numerical terrain models and large-scale numerical maps using drones, which is also effective for understanding the situation in disaster-stricken areas during emergencies.
In 3D measurement using UAV lasers, it is possible to acquire large volumes of 3D point cloud data of the terrain and other measurement targets in a short time. Since measurements can be taken from the air, it is possible to efficiently measure difficult-to-access locations without the need for human entry. Additionally, by adopting Time of Flight (TOF) lasers, it is now possible to measure the ground surface under vegetation, which was not feasible with photogrammetry. This can be utilized as a powerful tool in tasks such as creating digital terrain models in mountainous areas.

basic information
- The internal high-rate GNSS/IMU sensors precisely control position and orientation. Position control (GNSS: 1 to 25 times per second) and orientation control (IMU: 200 times per second) enable accurate position and orientation control even in windy conditions. Furthermore, post-processing kinematics allows for determining the position of UL-1 with centimeter accuracy. The position between GNSS epochs can be corrected using the angle data from the IMU. - A maximum altitude of 212 meters above ground level and a measurement width of 300 meters from an altitude of 150 meters (the regulated height according to aviation law) can be achieved through laser scanning. In cases where altitude regulations do not apply, such as during large-scale disasters, efficient measurements with a wide scanning width of 424 meters at an altitude of 212 meters are possible. - The adoption of pulse lasers enables simultaneous measurement of the canopy and the ground surface.
