At Kōa Development, we conduct "elastic wave exploration," which generates vibrations near the surface (using explosives or similar methods) and investigates geological structures and engineering information such as soil hardness through the differences in the speed at which elastic waves (P-waves) travel through the ground. We also evaluate stratification, rock classification, and geological area classification based on the results of the elastic wave exploration.
