Light molding is the world's first new technology that uses silicone rubber molds to shape actual models of thermoplastic resins. The molding material for mass production (thermoplastic resin) is made into fine particles, which are filled into the silicone mold and compressed under vacuum while being irradiated with near-infrared light from the outside. This light passes through the silicone rubber mold, heating and melting the fine particle material placed inside the mold to shape it. This method allows for the rapid and cost-effective production of actual models with the same performance as products made through injection molding.
