With LabSpionTM, you can quickly measure a single C surface or multiple C surfaces with any light source. Even those without specialized knowledge can easily measure luminous flux, candela light intensity, luminous efficiency per watt, light distribution, CRI, and color temperature. The LabSpion system consists of two blocks: one is a rotating lamp holder, and the second is the measuring device, both of which are mounted on tripods. Each component is interconnected and can be easily connected to a PC with the control software installed to start measurements.

The light sources measured range from outdoor lights to automotive headlamps and LED displays, and they are quite diverse. With the lamp holder, the light source can be easily mounted, and it moves quietly and smoothly at a high rotation speed. The most important factors are the weight and dimensions of the lighting fixture. It should not exceed 25 kilograms in weight, and the dimensions must fit within the frame, allowing for lighting fixtures with a maximum diameter of 1.5 meters to be measured. The installation process is very simple. First, set up the LabSpion base on a flat surface in the darkroom. The goniometer arm system can be assembled and ready for mounting on the base within 20 minutes. To ensure accurate measurements, the room must be dark. The spectral sensor is mounted on a tripod and positioned at a calculated distance according to the size of the measuring instrument. The included laser quickly detects the distance between the two components accurately. Install the software and start the operation. The process is fully automated, but there is also an option for manual operation. Recording data on the C side takes 30 seconds, and the entire measurement can be completed in about 15 minutes.
