The "QS Series" is an automatic combustion tube sulfur content tester that introduces air into a quartz combustion tube heated to 950–1100°C to combust the sample. The generated sulfur oxides are absorbed in hydrogen peroxide (3%) to form sulfuric acid, which is then neutralized and titrated with sodium hydroxide standard solution to determine the sulfur content.
