The Gt (ROSA) 26Sor gene is a genetic locus discovered by Phillip Soriano and others using the gene trap method with the ROSA (reverse orientation splice acceptor) vector. The reason many knock-in mice have been created for this genetic locus is that "transcription from the ROSA26 promoter, while not uniform, is ubiquitous."
