The "R85 Viscosity Meter" is equipped with an excellent auto-lock mechanism that protects the pointer shaft, allowing even first-time users to measure with confidence. Once the measurement is complete, the rotor shaft is automatically locked to protect the bearings. This allows for safe attachment and detachment of the rotor and cleaning of the sample. There are two types available: the single cylindrical "B-85" for measuring in a 500ml beaker and the cone/flat plate type "RE-85" for measuring in 1ml.
