The shelter made of Intertek's unique composite material GRP can maintain an internal temperature below 60°C for two hours, even in the event of a hydrocarbon fire, thanks to its internal core made of rock wool and external GRP layer. In a jet fire test, when exposed to external heat of 1000°C, it keeps the interior below 60 degrees for 120 minutes, or 2 hours. **Application** In the event of a fire, it is necessary to protect emergency "shutdown" (ESD) valves and their actuators from heat in chemical and petrochemical plants. During an emergency, the actuator must remain operable for at least 15 minutes after the fire starts. It is also possible to maintain operability under more stringent conditions of 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or longer.
