New Japan Radio Co., Ltd. has started mass production of the reflective type rotation and position detection sensor 'NJL5820R', which is suitable for detecting rotation direction and position with a digital 2-phase output type. By combining a newly designed photodetector IC with a high-output infrared LED, we have achieved low power consumption. 【Other Features】 - By combining with the recommended reflector (stripe mirror), a 2-phase signal with a 90-degree phase shift can be obtained, allowing for easy detection of rotation (movement) direction and position. - By detecting the rising/falling edges of the 2-phase signal, a resolution of 1/4 of the reflector pattern cycle can be achieved, enabling measurements with higher precision than the physical accuracy of the stripe mirror. - By combining a high-sensitivity, low-current consumption photodetector IC with a high-output infrared LED, low current consumption suitable for battery-operated devices is realized. - Sensors can be installed without worrying about the mounting position, and magnetic field analysis during design is unnecessary. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
