[Case Study] Occurrence of Odor in Factory's Water Supply Pipe

Odor occurrence! Introducing a case where we proposed completely separating the drinking water pipe and the industrial water pipe.

In a factory, there was a section of the water supply pipe where an unusual odor was detected, and it was considered possible that the water supply pipe and the industrial water pipe were connected. Therefore, we investigated the routes of the water supply pipes in the factory and in a separate building to confirm whether they were connected to the industrial water pipe. We also checked the residual chlorine levels in each building. As a result of the investigation, we discovered a connection point between the water supply pipe and the industrial water pipe (image: the blue section is the water supply pipe; the red section is the industrial water pipe). Although valves were installed, if all the valves were opened, the water supply and industrial water would flow into each other's piping.
