GRP vs FRP

In Europe, it is usually referred to as GRP (Glassfibre Reinforced Polyester), while in the United States, it is used as FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester). The two terms mean the same thing. Let me introduce the SMC (sheet molding compound) method. Also known as pre-pregmat, it is used in sheet form as a molding material developed for the mass production of GRP products. It consists of unsaturated polyester resin, additives, fillers, and release agents, along with catalysts, pigments, and chopped strands of glass. The sheet in the photo is GRP, with glass fiber mixed into the polyester. It is soft like clay, and includes paint, UV protection, anti-static properties, and more all combined together. A suitable amount is placed on the mold, and a product is created in the exact shape of the module under pressure and high temperature through pressing.
If you remove the dirt with a cutter, the product is complete.
It is possible to create various molded products.
GRP Manufacturing Process We manufacture sheet-like GRP by mixing glass fibers and resin. (In the center of the photo) At this stage, the GRP is still soft like rubber. (On the right of the photo) We cut the GRP while it is in a soft state.
We cut it carefully by hand to fit the shape. After that, we compress and mold the GRP with the machine on the right.
Cut the excess parts, tidy up, and complete. We manufacture various products using molds for diamond boxes and multi boxes.
We are collecting our multi-boxes and cabinets that have been used for over 30 years. They are in good condition and can still be used sufficiently. Products made of GRP are durable, require no maintenance costs, and have a long lifecycle.
