A solder printing inspection system that significantly reduces false reports and overlooked defects, achieving high reliability and improved productivity.
ASM ProcessExpert is a groundbreaking solder paste inspection system that significantly reduces false reports and achieves quality assurance and productivity improvements through the combination of ASM ProcessLens (hardware) and ASM ProcessEngine (software), which are 5D inline SPI technologies. With overwhelming inspection accuracy and autonomous adjustments to printing parameters through self-learning, it contributes to cost reduction by decreasing line stoppages and the frequency of user assistance. It automatically sets the printing process in real-time, recognizes trends, modifies printing process parameters, and directly and autonomously changes the printing parameters of DEK printers. It addresses parameters such as cleaning cycles, offsets, squeegee pressure, and printing speed, contributing to cost reduction by significantly reducing inflexible threshold settings, false reports, line stoppages, and the frequency of user assistance.

basic information
Hardware: ASM ProcessLens (5D Inline SPI System) Generates moiré patterns necessary for flexibly, accurately, and quickly measuring the state of solder paste through a projector chip equipped with 8 million individually controllable micro-mirrors. Additionally, it enables measurements through a combination of 2D/3D, a 12.5μm precision X/Y camera positioning system, multiple light sources for shadow-free measurements, 3D on-the-fly correction for substrate warpage, and very powerful image analysis algorithms, allowing for the rapid and accurate detection of solder paste position, height, area, volume, and substrate warpage compared to conventional SPI systems. Software: ASM ProcessEngine Learns and recognizes trends with each printing cycle, determining corrective measures to keep the printing process consistently within the process window. It can output corrective measures as assist requests or directly set new printing parameters on the printing machine without manual operation.
