A compact dual-lens board camera that integrates a [ToF camera] that measures distance using the reflection time of light emitted from the camera and an [RGB camera].
We would like to introduce our compact ToF camera development kit that utilizes "Time-of-Flight" technology, suitable for those who want to measure distances up to several meters without requiring the precision of light cutting while maintaining real-time capabilities! ▼What is a ToF camera?▼ A ToF camera measures distance based on the time it takes for light emitted from a specific light source to reflect off an object and reach the image sensor. It calculates the distance to the object pixel by pixel using an FPGA and outputs it in sync with a color image. Since the light source is located on the camera side, it can be used in indoor environments or warehouses where sufficient lighting is not available. Although the accuracy is lower compared to light cutting, it offers high real-time performance and achieves improved accuracy on curved surfaces with less parallax compared to stereo systems. It can be applied in various fields such as construction and logistics robots, AGVs, medical and caregiving settings, object recognition in dark environments, and hand gesture input. ■ Sample programs are available, including ROS drivers and point cloud processing. (Source: GitHub) ■ Seamless distance measurement from Near to Far (30cm to 5m) (Wide range mode) The mode switch also supports closer proximity (Super Near mode: 15cm to 70cm).
