Safe Spacer is a lightweight wearable device that helps workers and visitors maintain a safe social distance in factories, warehouses, stores, and event spaces. Developed by IK Multimedia for its own employees, the device will also be sold to other companies to ensure safe operations and peace of mind as factories, warehouses, and stores resume operations. Utilizing UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology, the Safe Spacer operates wirelessly with a rechargeable battery and accurately detects when other devices come within 2 meters, alerting the wearer through a selected alarm of visual, vibration, or sound. The Safe Spacer employs a patent-pending algorithm, requiring no setup or special infrastructure to operate immediately. It can be worn on a wristband or strap, or carried in a pocket. With the adoption of UWB technology, it allows for ultra-precise measurements up to 10 cm, boasting ten times the accuracy of Bluetooth devices.

Each Safe Spacer is equipped with a unique ID tag and built-in memory, allowing for optional association with the worker's name to track inadvertent contact, thereby ensuring the safety of the organization and its employees. To maintain the highest standards of privacy, no data other than the Safe Spacer's ID and proximity is stored. The Safe Spacer performs proximity detection and alerts directly through the device itself, so individuals do not need to carry smartphones or other devices while wearing it. However, an iOS/Android app is also available for advanced use, setup, and monitoring in the workspace. By configuring the app in the HR or safety management department, you can associate IDs with each worker, set thresholds for alert distances, configure alarms, log daily proximity information (without collecting sensitive personal data), and later export the log data.
