In Sanyo, it is possible to custom-make snap pins that are out of standard specifications to match the shape of the counterpart products.
A snap pin is a mechanical component used by inserting it into holes for pins, bolts, pipes, etc., to prevent the pin from coming out or to stop the rotation of bolts. It is specified in the JIS standard (JIS-B-1360) and is widely used. Additionally, depending on the size and application of the product being used, it is often the case that snap pins of sizes not covered by the JIS standard are custom-made and used. They may also be referred to as R pins, β pins, or retaining pins.

Detailed information
-
Part Drop Prevention Snap Pin Since it is used in a location where intense vibrations occur, there is a risk of parts loosening and falling off, so a retaining snap pin was necessary. Due to the vibrations on heavy parts, a high-strength (thick line) snap pin was required, and we assisted from the development stage.
-
Small Space Snap Pin There was only a very narrow space available for using the snap pin, and commercially available products interfered with surrounding components, necessitating a special size (smaller) snap pin. Additionally, the customer's product debut was imminent, requiring a quick resolution to the issue. At that time, we gathered the counterpart products and surrounding components, bringing together the customer, processing operators, and production technology to share the same awareness of the issue on-site and with the actual items. This collaborative effort allowed us to meet the mass production deadline before the customer's product debut.
-
Bolt Locking Snap Pin Due to repeated vibrations, there was a problem with bolts loosening and fastening components coming off, necessitating the use of locking snap pins. Additionally, there were numerous items to be used, and the production of approximately 1 million custom-sized (thick line) snap pins was required within a short period. Sanyo possesses a large number of the latest NC forming machines, allowing us to meet all customer delivery deadlines.
