Apply mechanical stress to cultured cells! Try the difference from static culture!
Cells in the body are constantly subjected to various mechanical stimuli. When cells experience mechanical stimuli such as stretching, compression, shear stress, and hydrostatic pressure, it is believed that mechanoreceptors are activated, transmitting signals into the cell and influencing cellular activity. However, under normal culture conditions (static culture), such stimuli are absent. STREX's cell stretching system allows for the cultivation of cells while applying stretching and compression stimuli, providing an environment closer to that of the body, which enables the observation of different cellular changes and responses compared to static culture.
