Designed to optimally protect the input of spectrum analyzers or measurement receivers in conduction noise measurements.
The TBFL1 is a combination of a transient limiter, attenuator, and high-pass filter, designed to optimally protect the input of a spectrum analyzer or measurement receiver when performing conducted noise measurements or other measurements where the input level cannot be reliably predicted or where accidental overloads may occur. By combining pins and Schottky diodes with a multi-stage 10dB attenuator, it becomes a device capable of withstanding continuous RF input levels of up to 5W (37dBm). A gas discharge tube provides additional protection against high-voltage transients. Furthermore, a 9 kHz high-pass filter suppresses harmonics of the power supply voltage. With a limiting threshold of +11dBm and a flat frequency response from 9 kHz to 600 MHz, the TBFL1 limiter can be used as a protective device for the entire range of conducted noise measurements and in many other applications.
