Proposal for diagonal hole machining of heat-resistant alloys and 5-axis machining.
Turbine blades used in aircraft are made from Inconel, a heat-resistant alloy that is particularly difficult to machine due to its poor machinability. The turbine blades have cooling holes drilled into them, and machining using fine hole electrical discharge machining, which is not affected by hardness, is commonly employed. The ACNC series is equipped with an NC rotary table that allows for rotational tilt movement and can accommodate an automatic electrode exchange system (AEC) ideal for machining multiple holes, making it capable of processing complex shaped surfaces.
