Proposal for diagonal hole machining of heat-resistant alloys using 5-axis machining.
Turbine blades used in aircraft are made from heat-resistant alloy Inconel, which is a particularly difficult material to machine due to its poor machinability. The turbine blades have cooling holes drilled into them, and machining using fine hole electrical discharge machining, which is not affected by hardness, is commonly employed. The A34CNC is equipped with an NC rotary table capable of rotational tilt movement and can be fitted with an automatic electrode exchange system (AEC) ideal for machining multiple holes, allowing for processing on complex-shaped surfaces. Additionally, we also provide custom NC machines using units for large workpieces.
