"Streamlining lab-scale concentration, desalting, and buffer exchange processes" *Demo units available for loan!*
Tangential flow filtration (TFF) is a filtration method that applies a constant pressure to the membrane side by flowing liquid samples parallel to the membrane surface, allowing solutes and small molecules to pass through the membrane. Compared to conventional direct flow filtration, TFF is less prone to filter clogging because it is continuously perfused parallel to the membrane surface, enabling efficient and large-capacity ultrafiltration. The Minimate EVO TFF system is suitable for large-scale protein and nucleic acid purification and is equipped with Omega membranes that have a wide range of molecular weight cut-offs (MWCO) from 1K to 1000K. It is also suitable for applications that require the purification of exosomes, which are extracellular nano-vesicles, from large volumes of cell culture media. It has been reported that TFF methods have a higher recovery rate of exosomes from cell culture media compared to ultracentrifugation [1], and there are also proven results with Minimate [2]. If you are considering large-volume sample ultrafiltration, please feel free to contact us. [1] Busatto S., et al., Cells, 7, 273-283 [2] Sung SE., et al., Int J Mol Sci, 22, 2889-2900
