Megnajet, a UK-based company, was established in 2006 as a specialized manufacturer of ink supply systems for inkjet printing. Traditionally, ink supply systems for inkjet printing primarily utilized the so-called negative pressure control method. However, in recent years, various print head manufacturers have been developing circulation-type print heads as their main offerings to meet the increasing demands for high ejection performance and compatibility with a wide variety of inks. The circulation-type ink supply system differs from the conventional negative pressure type (non-circulating system) in that it involves a technically challenging system where the meniscus negative pressure control at the print head nozzle is linked to circulation conditions. Megnajet's products are called the CIMS series, with the design concept of all models centered around small-volume ink supply systems.
