A pulse transformer is a transformer designed not to transmit power, but to transmit pulse waveforms as its name suggests. In a circuit for transmitting pulse waveform voltage and current, there is a risk of abnormal voltage flowing from the source to the destination and external noise entering if left as is. Therefore, it is generally necessary to implement measures to protect the connected device and reduce noise. To achieve this, the transformer utilizes its structural properties (electromagnetic induction) to electrically isolate the signals, allowing for safe and low-noise transmission.
