The seat of a center-shaped butterfly valve is usually fitted into the body by twisting the formed rubber. If there is a possibility that the rubber seat may be affected in a high vacuum line, bonding (gluing) the rubber seat to the body allows it to be used without any issues in a negative pressure line.
