* It has been used for a long time as a substrate for research on epitaxial thin films. * SrTiO3 (undoped) is transparent in the visible range, so it can also be used for optical property evaluation. * Surfaces treated with step & terrace processing enable layer-by-layer growth from the initial stages of film formation, which is said to be useful for improving reproducibility in film deposition. * Nb-doped products, which have conductivity, are believed to help solve issues related to electrical properties and charge-up. Crystals doped with Nb appear black. * By using samples with break grooves, it is possible to divide the substrate into smaller sizes in the laboratory for use, which is also useful for comparative tests using the same crystal substrate.
