We would like to introduce a case study of the terminal resistor (5W) for mobile communication base stations deployed by Company B. The issues identified were the limited space available for use, the need for cost reduction in consideration of competing products, and the heat generated due to the maximum power usage of 5W. In response, we focused on miniaturization and cost reduction, specifically looking at the resistor and heat dissipation fins. As a result, we were able to maintain the high-frequency characteristics required by the customer even with a smaller structure for the heat dissipation fins, and by reducing material costs through miniaturization, we achieved a balance between cost reduction and performance.
