SL-GMS Web/Developer (HTML5)

The HTML5 version of SL-GMS Web/Developer transforms the operation screens of monitoring and control systems created with the common SL-GMSDraw editor used in other SL-GMS products (C++, Java, .NET) into unparalleled compact and fast HTML5 code using a code generator. This enables the operation of graphics screens that are rich in content and highly interactive, with performance equivalent to local operations, in a browser. It also supports the development of IoT monitoring dashboards with features such as embedded graphs and tables, drill-down to detailed screens, multiple screen layers, dynamic graphic object instances on maps, rectangular area selection zoom, and overview window functions. In the new version 4.3a, a viewer application called "HTML Display Viewer" has been added, allowing users to interactively create graphic system diagrams in the SL-GMSDraw editor, convert them to HTML5, and check their behavior by displaying them in a browser before deploying them to a web server. Additionally, the color table has been expanded to 32,767 colors, further enhancing the development tool features.

At Suing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Suing"), we are developing an information platform called "Sustainable Water Cloud®" (hereinafter referred to as "SWaC®") that aggregates various data from water treatment facilities for centralized management. Additionally, we are incorporating AI services to streamline operational tasks. In the cloud-based SWaC, we utilize SL-GMS Web/Developer (HTML5) for the graphical "visualization" of information. The graphic monitoring screen for facilities in SWaC allows users to select graphic system diagrams such as "substation equipment" and "water supply equipment" from tabs arranged at the top. These diagrams are created interactively and independently of the application using the SL-GMSDraw editor, enabling immediate preview confirmation of their dynamic behavior during development. Furthermore, using the code generator of SL-GMS Web/Developer, the diagrams are converted into exceptionally compact and fast HTML5 code, allowing for high interactivity and performance comparable to that of a local desktop when operated in a browser.

Following the release of the long-awaited HTML5 version SL-GMS new product V1.0a in 2020, subsequent versions V2.0a and V3.0a introduced numerous new features such as embedded graphs and tables, drill-down to detailed screens, and multiple screen layers, enhancing support for the development of dashboards for centralized monitoring of IoT data. In version V4.0a released in 2022, various graphic features commonly implemented in traditional SL-GMS products (C++, Java, .NET), such as overview pop-ups and blink functions, were added to the HTML5 version, strengthening browser operations for control systems. Furthermore, in V4.1a released in 2023, several new features that allow for flexibility in details, such as displaying SL-GMS models in table columns, were added. In this new V4.2a, which continues this trend, improvements in HTML5 code conversion for local sub-models and the addition of support for NumericUpDown controls, along with bug fixes, are aimed at furthering the web-based implementation of control systems (DCS/SCADA) and enhancing the development and browser operation of monitoring dashboards.

We have released the new version 4.1a of SL-GMS Web/Developer, which converts the highly interactive graphic operation screen of the control room into an unparalleled compact and fast HTML5 code for web operation. So far, we have enhanced the development of monitoring dashboards with numerous new features such as embedded graphs and tables, drill-down to detailed screens, multiple screen layers, and dynamic object instances on maps in versions V2.0a and V3.0a. In V4.0a, we added various graphic functions commonly implemented in traditional SL-GMS products (C++, Java, .NET), such as overview pop-ups and blink functions, to strengthen browser operations for control systems (DCS/SCADA). In this new V4.1a, many new features have been added for flexibility, including displaying SL-GMS models in table columns, attributes that emphasize text and object outlines with glow effects, support for web fonts, and methods to print panel content, further enhancing the web-based and cloud operational monitoring dashboard development for control systems.
