Please make use of our company's support capabilities in human and life engineering for manufacturing.
We will introduce how we will utilize our strengths to develop, for example, an easy-to-use backpack, using human and ergonomic engineering.
【Evaluation Technology Based on Human and Life Engineering】 Rather than evaluating individual products or services, we strive to assess them in light of the various characteristics of the users. For example, items designed to be carried on the back include school backpacks, bags, and framed carriers. The component that connects these items to the person is the shoulder strap. Based on insights gained from our past research, we have determined that the material of wetsuits is suitable for shoulder straps. Below, we present the experimental plan and evaluation results to assess its effectiveness. 【Evaluation Plan】 ■Experimental Method Two types of shoulder straps were used, and standard-weight learning materials were placed in the school backpack to evaluate walking movements and jumping in place. ■Target Shoulder Straps We focused on conventional artificial leather and the material of wetsuits (hereafter referred to as the new material). ■Monitors (Subjects) First and second-grade elementary school students ■Evaluation Items - Subjective evaluation (ease of carrying, no physical burden, body instability, etc.) - Posture and movements Body tilt while walking, swaying side to side and front to back - Relationship between person and object Displacement between the school backpack and the body, pressure exerted between the shoulder strap and the body For further details, please refer to the basic information below.

basic information
**Our Strengths** - Data related to people and daily life - Body measurements of elementary school students to determine shoulder strap length during experiments - Weight of the backpacks used by first and second graders - Diverse monitors - First and second graders (with the cooperation of a nearby children's club) - Measurement instruments and evaluation techniques for various items - Posture and movement: Our developed markerless 3D motion measurement system - Relationship between people and objects: The misalignment between the backpack and the body measured by the markerless 3D motion measurement system - Pressure on the body measured by a thin load cell **Evaluation Results** - Subjective evaluation: The new material is softer and places less burden on the body. - Posture and movement: The new material resulted in less forward bending and reduced swaying of the body side-to-side and front-to-back. - Relationship between people and objects: There was less misalignment between the backpack and the body, and the pressure on the body was also lower. **Evaluation from the Perspective of Living Engineering** There are issues that cannot be evaluated solely from an ergonomic perspective and should be assessed from a living engineering standpoint: - How to prevent the backpack from being bulky when taken off the shoulders and placed on a desk - How to respond when the amount of school supplies in the backpack changes.
