Contributes to the reduction of resin amount/CO2 emissions! Thin substrate for tape, Yupo.
[Free samples available] Pursuing thinness while maintaining excellent durability, water resistance, and printability! Contributes to reducing environmental impact by reducing resin usage!
"SKS45" and "STS50" are base papers for thin tapes. Compared to standard film tape base papers, they have higher whiteness and opacity, providing excellent print reproducibility. Additionally, they use less resin compared to standard PP and PET films of equivalent thickness, contributing to reduced environmental impact. When finished as tape, they result in a compact and lightweight product. ■ Regarding Environmental Impact Reduction In the case of STS50, our calculations show that it achieves approximately 70% reduction in plastic usage and CO2 emissions compared to standard PET film (50µm), and about 45% reduction compared to standard PP film (50µm). *Details of the environmental impact reduction effects can be found in the product documentation in PDF format. ■ Product Overview SKS45: This is the thinnest Yupo for tape applications. When processed into tape form, its thinness and lightweight nature allow for a small diameter even in long lengths, resulting in a compact and light tape. STS50: This product has been designed to allow for easy hand tearing in the width direction. It can be cut by hand even in work environments where scissors cannot be brought in. *For details on physical properties, please refer to the product documentation in PDF format.

Yupo Corporation is a joint venture established in May 1969 with the aim of commercializing synthetic paper derived from petrochemicals, through equal investment by Oji Paper Co., Ltd. (now Oji Holdings Corporation) and Mitsubishi Oil Co., Ltd. (now Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation). In 1971, the first production line was completed, followed by the second in 1986 and the third in 1990 at the Kashima Plant (Kamis, Ibaraki Prefecture), establishing a stable supply system for both domestic and international markets. Subsequently, in September 1998, a subsidiary was established in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA, to handle production and sales, further enhancing the global stable supply system. Since October 2000, a sales subsidiary has been established in Germany, initiating independent sales using the YUPO brand in Europe and Africa. Additionally, sales bases have been set up in China, India, and Thailand, making Yupo a top manufacturer with a significant share in the synthetic paper sector worldwide.
