Freely handling cases of different sizes.
SPDR consists of an arm that lifts and holds cargo, a girder that moves in all directions, and rails and supports for girder movement. The arm automatically grabs a case containing parts, and the girder travels horizontally and vertically to stack and store it directly in an area enclosed by supports. The chucking part of the arm has a unique structure that allows it to handle cases of different sizes for the first time in the world. Additionally, the arm can handle cases one by one or while they are stacked in multiple layers. This allows for quick handling of the target case located on the lower level, enabling flexible responses to line-side demands such as picking and shipping.

Applications/Examples of results
SPDR minimizes the fixed parts such as shelves and incorporates automation, with the concept that even if the machinery stops, tasks can still be handled manually. While maintaining operation in a flat layout, it efficiently stores items with varying packaging and quantities on different days using free location storage. It also has high processing capacity; for example, in a case where the machine width is 7m and depth is 7m, it can perform a maximum of 80 cycles of inbound and outbound operations per hour. Furthermore, the inbound and outbound openings can be laid out in necessary positions according to the installation site, and changes or additions can be easily made in a short time even after installation. Outbound operations allow for three patterns: first-in-first-out for unloading a single case while re-storing the remaining cases, lot outbound for unloading multiple cases at once if they are from the same lot, and case picking outbound for sequentially allocating different cases while handling multiple cases stacked together. The types of cases that can be handled range from standard products to those with handles, in two colors, and foldable types, covering most containers commonly distributed in the market. Additionally, it can accommodate a maximum weight of 20kg per case, and when handling multiple cases, it can support a total of up to 150kg.
