A dustproof and waterproof battery case that allows the operation of a radio using commercially available dry batteries during emergencies or when power supply cannot be secured.
The "BP-305" is a dry battery case made by Icom. It can be used in combination with the Icom hybrid IP transceiver IP700. During disasters or emergencies when power cannot be secured, you can operate the radio using commercially available dry batteries. It can be used with five AA alkaline batteries. The operating time is approximately 8.5 hours when using LTE connections and about 3 hours when using DCR. A belt clip can be attached to the back to secure the radio to your belt for operation. It has an IP67 dust and waterproof rating when the radio is attached.
