We would like to introduce a case study of the development of an Energy Management System (EMS) that performs power factor control to address reverse power flow at wind power plants. Using process information (analog) such as line-to-line voltage, phase angle, generator output, and wind speed, we estimate system load and power generation output to perform power factor determination.
