The Scrubgrass power plant in Venango County, Pennsylvania, generates electricity using a byproduct of mining, known as asphalt waste coal. With advanced environmental control technology, this coal is utilized as a clean energy source. In 2003, the Scrubgrass power plant was facing issues with coal transportation and was seeking solutions to resolve chute blockages. The company installed two "Airweep (model VA-51) units" on the chute leading to the hammer mill.
