basic information
Even without a PC at the trouble site, you can directly set specific EDID and hot plug events from the Dr.HDMI 4K unit to execute. There are 40 EDID banks pre-installed in the Dr.HDMI 4K, and by rotating the knob up and down, you can quickly select the desired EDID bank. If you stop for one second while selected, the system will activate the chosen EDID and initiate the HPD (hot plug) event. During the HPD event, the Dr.HDMI 4K notifies the source device that the EDID has changed, prompting the source device to reset its internal settings. This HPD event takes about 2 seconds, during which the EDID cannot be changed. Once the HPD event is complete, you can change the EDID again if necessary. By pressing the copy sync button, the display's EDID is copied to the Dr.HDMI 4K and placed in EDID bank number 8. Upon completion, an HPD event is also created, which takes about 2 seconds to finish.
