Weld with the key inserted into the keyway! By securing the boss part in the same way as the gear, the shaft center is also ensured!
In large gear processing, the usual gear cutting method results in long processing times and high costs, leading to a request for cost reduction. Therefore, we cut multiple gear shapes from a 14mm thick stainless steel plate using laser processing, and then stacked and welded those plates together. During welding, we used positioning pins to ensure that the gears were aligned accurately without any displacement, and we also welded with the key inserted into the keyway. By securing the boss section in the same way as the gears, we ensured the alignment of the shaft center. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
