Sonotec's ultrasonic cutter, the "SONOFILE series," facilitates the cutting of resin products and composite materials that are difficult to cut with conventional blades by vibrating the blade 20,000 to 40,000 times per second. A wide range of materials, including composites, plastics, rubber, and leather, can be cut freely with minimal processing pressure, sharp cross-sections, and no chips. By attaching the tool to a robotic hand, it is possible to perform three-dimensional processing and use air cooling, enabling 24-hour operation.
