●Points to Note for Dust Measurement in Tunnel Construction 1. Measurement Locations: Install a total of 6 measurement points on the wall side at approximately 10m, 30m, and 50m from the face. 2. It is necessary to use measurement equipment equipped with a particle size device that can appropriately size respirable (inhalable) dust (with a particle size characteristic of 4μm 50% cut). 3. The measurement equipment used for relative concentration indication must have a pump flow rate that allows the particle size device to function properly, and it should be calibrated by the Japan Measurement Association. 4. It can be used as the "value indicated by the Director of the Labor Standards Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare" as stipulated in Article 1, Paragraph 1, Item 6 (b) of the "Methods for Measuring and Evaluating Dust Concentration in Underground Workplaces Engaged in Dust Work." 5. Mass concentration conversion factor for this product "LD-5R": 0.002 (mg/m3/cpm) Based on the above, dust measurement for tunnel work requires the installation of "LD-5R" and the accompanying particle size device (PM4 cyclone) at a total of 6 locations.
