The AE9501B is used in combination with a piezoelectric AE sensor (sold separately). When AE is detected, the event lamp on this device lights up. It is a lightweight handheld AE tester that operates on four AA batteries.

The occurrence rate of AE is also displayed on a meter. - RF output can be connected to an oscilloscope for observing AE waveforms, and event output can be connected to a counter for AE counting. ●Maximum input voltage: 50mVp-p (when SENSITIVITY = 5mV) ●Frequency characteristics: 100kHz to 2MHz ●High-pass filter: Cut-off frequency: 100kHz ±20%, attenuation slope: 18dB/oct ●Detection sensitivity (AE detection level): 50μV to 5mV (switchable between 0.5mV and 5mV, continuously variable from ×0.1 to ×1) ●Event pulse: Approximately 1ms, negative logic ●Recorder output: 1mV/count (when full scale at 50 counts/second) 0.1mV/count (when full scale at 500 counts/second) ●Power supply: 4 AA batteries, can be used for over 100 hours with manganese batteries ●Weight: Approximately 550g (including included batteries) *The basic specifications and functions are the same as the conventional model AE9501A (the rate meter has been changed to LED display).
