Since there are limitations to the material properties obtained from uniaxial tensile tests, biaxial tensile tests, which provide suitable material properties for rubber CAE analysis, are effective. In the case of rubber CAE analysis, it is evident that the strain distribution from the biaxial test (pure shear) is closer to the actual measurements than that from the uniaxial test. In other words, to enhance the accuracy of CAE analysis, it is recommended to use the material properties obtained from biaxial tests (pure shear).
