Based on the principles of turbines that have been proven in the past, fluid acts on the inclined surfaces of precision turbine blades, causing them to rotate. The movement at the tips of each blade is detected by sensors built into the main body of the measuring instrument, converted into pulse signals, and then the frequency is converted into flow rate. With a rated pressure of 3.5 MPa (maximum 34.5 MPa optional) and a rated temperature of 110°C (optional 232°C), it can accommodate many industries. We offer 12 sizes (0.7 L/min to 18,000 L/min) with screw-type (straight G thread [male thread] and tapered R thread [female thread] up to 40 MPa) or JIS 10K-RF flange connections, allowing us to meet various customer requirements. You can choose from three methods: 1] millivolt sine wave, 2] rectangular wave (square wave), or 3] 4-20 mA analog signal.

When the liquid flows and the built-in rotor rotates, the sensor detects the movement of the blade tip and generates pulses. The frequency of the pulses is proportional to the flow rate and outputs the measurement. The signal can be combined with a transmitter that can be used for local displays, remote displays, or wirelessly transmitted to another control system. We can provide various proposals to meet all of our customers' requirements. All turbine flow meters are individually calibrated with water before shipment. A traceable certificate compliant with ISO, indicating the number of pulses per liter, is issued individually. The flow sensor is installed directly in-line with the piping; however, to reduce turbulence and obtain the best measurements, it is recommended to install it in locations where there is straight piping of at least 10D in diameter upstream and at least 5D in diameter downstream. When there is a control valve, it is recommended to install it on the downstream side and to install a filter before the flow meter to prevent the inflow of foreign materials that could block the line. In environments with very long transmission distances or near electrically noisy equipment such as pumps, motors, generators, switchgear, and high-current cables, preamps and shielded cables may also be necessary.
