Identifies strain-level differences that cannot be distinguished at the species level. It is a contract service that rapidly and cost-effectively identifies microbial strain differences. For example, it is useful for distinguishing between multiple strains of lactic acid bacteria that are the same species and are held as beneficial strains. It can also be used to identify beneficial strains of microorganisms contained in health foods such as probiotics. For instance, if you have many strains of the same type of microorganisms, such as lactic acid bacteria or yeast, it can be utilized for rapid and cost-effective grouping of those microbial strains. It can be conducted more quickly and cheaply compared to traditional identification methods such as PFGE analysis, MLST analysis, and whole genome analysis. It identifies differences in microbial strains using the latest IR Biotyper. [About IR Biotyper] A new identification method for microbial strains has been proposed by Bruker using the IR Biotyper. The IR Biotyper is a system that acquires Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectral data of carbohydrates and polysaccharides from different microbial strains cultured under the same conditions, and performs comparative analysis of the spectral data between microbial strains to achieve strain-level identification.
