It is a gas sensor that has a high sensitivity to organic solvents and other volatile gases.
The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2620 has high sensitivity to organic solvents and other volatile gases, making it ideal for detectors for organic solvents. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
